I read that Melbourne is going to be hosting something called the “Australian Catholic Youth Festival” in December 2013.
The Festival will be held in the Archdiocese of Melbourne from Thursday December 5 to Saturday December 7 and gather up to 4000 young Catholics from year 9 students to those 25 years of age.
This would seem to be a concept not dissimilar to say for example a Bikie gang organising a women’s equality event, or the Mafia doing a fundraiser for victims of organised crime. I must say I cringe a little when I think about the Catholic Church, this pedophilia-enabling and-obscuring institution, organising any youth events at all.
