There will be an all-German finale to the European Champions League in Wembley on May 25, and I can’t say that I’m a big fan of it, because it will in a way be missing that special European flair. But at the same time, the 2 teams who reached the final this year were clearly the best ones in the competition, with Borussia Dortmund somewhat of a surprise contender, given their difficult draw in the groups stages, and their 20-point gap to German league winners Bayern Munich, who they will be playing the final against.
