It’s the Bangkok Blues again!

I’m typing this post with arthritic, painful fingers and wrists while having to concentrate really hard to write coherently, because not only are my joints and muscles killing me, my brain has gone into mush mode as well. And that’s not even talking about the rigors and chills.

This is very curious indeed. It’s the third time now that this has happened to me, and each time it was after a visit to Bangkok. I haven’t been to areas with killer mosquitos(carrying Chikungunya, Malaria or Dengue fever, for example), I don’t do sex tourism, I usually just sit by the hotel pool or go for short local excursions. But reliable as clockwork I can expect to fall ill within 24 hours of leaving Thailand, and always with the exactly same viral-type symptoms.

It’s a mystery.

Well, at least you can say you aren’t being secretly funded by the Thai department of tourism to talk the country up as a destination…

  2. Huh. Specific allergy, maybe?

    Hi Martin,
Looking forward to the pending white puffs of smoke from the vatican ?
Hope you are feeling better by now.

  4. Hi Spl,

I’m still coughing up green things(they seem to be produced in my nostrils as well, curiously), and my head sends me warning signals that resemble the North Korean nuclear test seismographic amplitudes whenever I so much as look at anything written for more than 5 minutes.

As to the Vatican, you know what they say, “Same shit, different day”. Or applied to the RCC, the next Pope will still think that he(always a “he”) is the best mate and earthen rep of an imaginary man in the clouds who loves AIDS in Africa and women dying rather than having terminations.
