Major obsession alert on this spoof Freethoughtblogs website. Whoever the person is who set this up, whether it is a guy named Ed Clint or not, and whois entries show that the domain was registered back in March, so this has already been months in the making, must have some very unhealthy obsession with Freethoughtblogs, some of its main bloggers and commenters, and the whole misogyny and sexism debate of the last 12 months that has not died down ever since Rebecca Watson said “Guys don’t do that” in a YT video about moving house.
But seriously, this spoof FTB site is cause for concern. The person who created this probably does not have a day job. They must have been at this for weeks or months, paying attention to minute details from the FTB and Skepchick blogs, getting the icons and fonts right, creating fake comments by fake commenters whose names and nyms are riffed off real FTB commenters.
Some details are revealing, like the featuring of an “enemies list”, something not witnessed on the real FTB. Note the cast :

Why call Thunderf00t “Blunderf00t” here, if he is one of the recent heroes of the #FTBullies dimwits ? I don’t know. And Orson Scott Card ? Really, who knows why he’s there. Paula Kirby, Stef McGraw, Penn Jillette, Abbie Smith, DJ Grothe, that’s an easy one, these are all people who Rebecca Watson disagreed with. Or PZ Myers. Or I. Or a whole bunch of other random people on the internet.
My feeling is that, whether this site is “Ed Clint”‘s creation or not, it is the product of an unbalanced mind with a very unhealthy obsession for all matters FTB. Much worse than anything Mabus has ever done if you ask me. At least with Mabus you knew what you were up against, a borderline without proper medical care. With the creator of this spoof site, I am not so sure, all we can note is that the obsession with FTB, its bloggers and commenters seems to have this person in a firm grip. It’s a matter of concern.

Card has a reputation of being a misogynist. PZ has written some very unflattering things about Card. Clint (or his twin brother, whichever one wrote that poor parody) put Card on the list because he’s not well regarded by feminists.
