If you follow this blog, you know that one of my favourite true crime books is Kate Summerscale’s “The Suspicions of Mister Whicher, or The Murder at Road Hill House”.
Personally, I reckon this is much better Hollywood material than the recent butchering of Stieg Larsson’s Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and it would make a fantastic blockbuster. Anyway, there is one TV adaptation of the novel so far, from ITV in Britain, and here’s the trailer for their movie from 2011. I watched the film, it’s good, but it has the potential to be great, if it could only be adopted by a major studio.
